How you will make an impact:
As a Maintenance Technician II at St. Mark Village, you are responsible for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of life safety systems—including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and emergency lighting—to ensure the safety and preparedness of the facility in case of emergencies. This role involves conducting regular system testing, maintaining emergency readiness, and may include updating evacuation plans and training building occupants on emergency procedures. In addition to life safety responsibilities, you will perform a wide range of general maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and equipment upkeep. Duties also include inspecting apartments, handling emergency repairs, moving furniture, replenishing water softener salt, changing filters, and repairing machines. Adherence to safety protocols and confidentiality is essential. A background in life safety systems and healthcare facility maintenance is required.
Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
What you will need:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of related maintenance experience (required).
- Experience in inspections with a life/safety background (required).
- Experience in healthcare or hospital setting (required).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Applicants for this position must be able to produce a negative drug test.
